I was born and raised in Massachusetts,
and attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. There I received
a Bachelor of Music degree, with an emphasis in music and business. My
administrative background is extensive, having worked in multiple industries
including music, healthcare, technology, and non-profit. My past experience
includes musical artist contract management, coordination of marketing
programs, event coordination, general administrative support, and executive
assistance.
Some results I have produced
for my employers include:
- Providing excellent customer service while filling product orders
online, which lead to more sales for a music publishing company
- Paying royalties to authors of music publications in a timely manner,
which resulted in more business for the music publishing company, and
more books published, leading to more profit for the company
- Helping to organize and set up office procedures and systems for an
executive I supported at a technology company
- Saving money for a company by shopping for the lowest-priced office
supplies, keeping an eye on other expenses, and making suggestions where
appropriate on what could be done to save more money
- Developing a spreadsheet to better track a department's expenses
- Developing a spreadsheet to tally and track seminar survey results,
so that the company could use the information to constantly improve
the seminars; this also helped to provide leads that turned into customers,
hence more profit for the company
Having spent over sixteen years in the corporate world,
I decided that I wanted to be my own boss, and craved more out of life
than just a 9-5 job. Desperately in need of a new career path, I came
across an article about virtual assistance. During my research of the
profession, I discovered AssistU,
the premier organization for training Virtual Assistants. I applied to
their program, got accepted, and successfully graduated in June 2003.
The program fully prepared me to service clients with the latest technology
from my home office. I now love what I do!
I am an active member of IAAP,
the International Association of Administrative Professionals, which is
a networking and educational organization. Through this organization,
I received my CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) certification
in November 2004. In August 2007, I joined the Board of Trustees for the
Nashua
Symphony Association in order to contribute my time in helping to
enrich the arts community in southern New Hampshire.
"Cindy's professionalism
and expertise in a vast number of areas allows us to concentrate on the
day-to-day responsibilities of running our own business. She is like having
the benefit of an experienced fulltime staff member but for a fraction
of the cost. Invaluable - a true asset."
